Tough Times For Vegas

The Las Vegas casinos are being forced to decrease the prices of hotels. The strong competition that offers not only online casino gambling but also lower prices of the hotel (while online booking) is endangering the Las Vegas enterprises’ revenues. The competition offers various entertainment and favourable costs. According to a Bear, Stearns and Company analyst, Jason Ader Las Vegas casinos are in a very hard situation. The tough competition forces the casinos to lower their prices. Michael Tew (Bear, Stearns) claims that there should be some new resorts created. Some of the Las Vegas hotels tried to woo the customers by creating new rooms, but it didn’t work. They also had to decrease the prices. The costs of the night in famous parts of Las Vegas declined for over 10- 20% ($135, $195). In February, during 6 days, the rates decreased for 3% in comparison to the previous year. The biggest concern of the analysts is a low number of reservations made for the nearest months.
